Holiday Instant Pot Recipes!

December 19, 2018 Events, Food, Holidays, Home Decor, Party

Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away?! How did this happen?!

If you are anything like me, so many of my great holiday memories involve food! It seems meals are the time we gather! Although I love cooking, it takes so much time!

I had heard of Instant Pots for some time and everyone that had one seemed to rave about it, so when Walmart suggested I try one and review it, I was genuinely excited! BUT, being true to my sweet tooth, and also wanting to really put it to the test, I decided to try something I thought would be difficult to have turn out…

A Triple Chocolate Layered Cheesecake!!

The Instapot arrived quickly with Walmart’s free two-day shipping on most orders over $35 (how perfect is that this time of the year?!) and I was so excited to put it to work! I will say…. after committing to this Triple Chocolate Layered Cheesecake recipe I had second thoughts! And, after opening the Instant Pot, I was even more intimidated! Maybe I should just do a pot roast!!

No…. I decided to put on my big girl pants and make it!!

Surprisingly enough, the Instant Pot was easy to use, and look how well it turned out!!!

Ok, for my first time ever to use an Instant Pot, and to have tried what I thought was a difficult thing to make work in an Instant Pot, I think it looks AWESOME!

But when I TASTED it, WOW!! WOW!!!

I make cheesecake in the oven quite a bit, and I have to say the TEXTURE of an Instant Pot cheesecake is different! I’m not quite sure how to describe it; it’s like a dense mousse consistency! You really have to try it to know what I’m talking about!

Having had such a good experience with my first attempt using an Instant Pot, I decided to round up some other fun holiday recipes that I want to try! And, if you haven’t asked Santa for anything yet, you might want to put an Instant Pot on your list :)!

Let me know if you try any of them! 🙂

Wow! The cheesecake turned out fantastic, love those layers! I just got a Instant Pot from Walmart, too, and I love how fast they are at making our favorite meals.
