One of my most commonly asked questions is: “When it comes to decorating, what is something you MUST have, or couldn’t live without?”
MY ANSWER:
GLASS JARS!
Glass jars have been my go-to decorating item for YEARS. You can use them in any season, whether holiday or non-holiday! And when I say I would never want to be caught without them… I mean it!
I’m in the process of compiling the final details for my Halloween 2019 Reveal, and during my brainstorming processes I pulled out my glass jars and began “playing” with centerpiece ideas for our kitchen island!!

It’s totally inspiring me and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the kitchen ends up turning out!
When it comes to using jars to decorate, nothing is off limits! You can put candy, candles, mini accessories (I mean how cute are these spider macaroons?!) or whatever will fit through the opening! 🙂 I always say… just start playing with items and see if you like how it looks!
With that said, candy is always my go-to! I buy it in bulk (we try not to eat a lot of candy so I buy things my family doesn’t really like!) and then save it to re-use throughout the holidays! I always warn people who come through our home and lift a lid off a jar to get a sweeet……. “you might not want to eat that; it may look great, but it might be a little stale!” Giggle 🙂
