The Living Room, Christmas 2018!

I don’t know if I have ever been more excited about a blog post than THIS one!!

I wish you could all come over and just sit and visit with me in my living room because you just can’t NOT feel JOYFUL in this room !!!

I’m crazy about how it turned out!!

Whenever I start formulating my ideas for a space, I usually always have one item I use as my inspiration or starting point!

This adorable pink and red nutcracker was my inspiration!

How cute is he??!!!!!

Unfortunately, he is sold out (sigh…) BUT if you know anything about Kurt Adler Nutcrackers, EVERY nutcracker they make is FABULOUS!! And I found a similar one HERE and HERE!

I also LOVE this FA LA LA LA LA sign! I glitters like crazy and is such a great add on the piano! I found it at Hobby Lobby! I think it is even 1/2 off now!

OK, can we just STOP for a moment to discuss this mantel?? The photograph does not even do it justice! It is my favorite yet!! Everything about it makes me happy!!! From the huge gumdrops, to the different candy canes, to the snowflake stocking holders, to the little white snowballs, to the pink starlight candies, to the JOY sign… I love everything about it!

If we’re not in a good mood yet, let’s move over to the sofa and coffee table!!! 🙂

Katherine’s Collection makes the cutest snowmen! I even found the same snowman holding a tray HERE. I want it!! They also make a smaller version snowman I use as ornaments!

For the sofa table, I gathered my collection of red and white trees and arranged them on a fluffy bed of “snow”! I love that they are all textures and sizes!

As always, BaBam Wreaths is my go-to! Amy never lets me down and can create whatever I can think up!! You have to check her out if you are in the market for a new wreath!

OK, please don’t ask; it will make me so sad! No, I can’t find this tree for you!! I’ve asked the company to make more but it’s just not happening! I got it years ago and think I may need to find a manufacturer myself to make them!! It is just the cutest!! If I could get it for you though, I would!! 🙂

Don’t you just LOVE the high heels?!!!

I did find the Hat Tree Topper and I will link several of my favorite red and white candy ornaments below!

For the side tables in the room, it is always so FUN to create a STORY!! This table looks ready for two people to sit down for a bit, visit, and have a nice refreshment!

The elf on this table has been busy arranging a festive base for the lamp and is now resting while admiring his work!!! 🙂 I absolutely love the two lamps I ordered from Times Two Design! Lauren is my neighbor and she is so talented!!!

This final side table shows two adorable children looking out the window of their pink and red house to the Christmas parade going on below! She is mesmerized by the ballet dancers on the float (she has just been reading Tallulah’s Nutcracker) and he is just happy she is letting him hold her hand …. giggle!

I purchased this house from Caitlin Wilson and I think it is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen! I want to live in this house!!

Finally, as most you probably know, I am doing Who-Ville this Christmas throughout the house! To keep up the Grinch theme, I have strategically placed a Grinch in EVERY room!! Some Grinch’s are harder to find than others, but every room has at least one!! 🙂 In the living room, I have Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas opened to the page where the Grinch gets his WONDERFUL, AWFUL IDEA! I love it!

I want to take just a moment to thank my dear friend Jo Tiller who has worked tirelessly for years collaborating with me and helping me with my installs, and Amy (Babam Wreaths) and Vonna (Rustedchick) who also drove into town to help me this year! We had so much fun! I have never enjoyed an install like I did this one!!

You are the best of friends!

Hugs… Jennifer

Hi Jennifer. I’m sure you have heard this many times over, but I have to tell you I just love your candy-themed Christmas (even before the Grinch came for a visit!) decor. I love candy and sweets and in my small cottage, I use them in the dining room/kitchen area. It is such a happy, fun theme and such great colours. I live outside of Vancouver, BC Canada; and I thought that Katherine’s Collection was no longer around; but I see your snowman is from them; so I will have to hunt for myself. Perhaps they are not available where I live any longer. I have a beautiful seated fairy figurine that I got years ago from that company. I still think the fairy is beautiful. I look forward to your bright and happy IG posts. I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day! Best to you, Christine
