The Entryway!
I just noticed yesterday the Red Bud trees in my front yard are starting to bloom!!! It’s beginning to feel like SPRING…. finally! Is it just me, or did this winter seem extra long?!! Every time I thought it was warming up in Dallas we would get another cold spell! I know Spring is going to take a little bit longer to fully bloom outside, but at least INSIDE, it is SPRING ON TURTLE CREEK LANE!
Decorating the Banister
When I begin planning my ENTRYWAY, one of my first considerations is the banister. I think of it is terms as the “EYE-LINER” for the space. Too much and it looks… well, too much; too little and it lacks definition. But, if we get it just right, it serves as an anchor and perfectly defines the area. Michael’s is my go-to place for all things “garland” and this floral felt one stopped me in my tracks! I knew I wanted to use it on the banister and build the space around it!!
Usually when I do the banister I attach the garland to the top of the banister, but with this bunny presentation, putting it at the base makes it look like the bunnies are sitting in a lush botanical garden! I added a green fern garland from Michael’s to create the luscious look I wanted! I attached them both with fishing line!
Make it Inviting!
I repeated the green fern garland and added a few more happy spring garlands in pink and blue to dress a large Easter basket I had sitting around! I topped it off with fun ribbon and some coordinating Easter eggs and it looks like the Easter Bunny has arrived!!
I’m CRAZY about how this FLOWER WALL turned out!! I purchased my flowers pre-made, but if you are a little crafty get colorful tissue paper and make your own!! I’ve done that before and it is actually really fun!!
When I was shopping at Michael’s I fell in love with this gingham rabbit pillow!! I bought 4 of them – 2 in blue and 2 in pink!! I am such a sucker for anything gingham, but especially in light blue and light pink…. with a BUNNY!! I used the other 3 on my sofa in the family room!
You can shop some of my other Michaels favorites below:
I hope you feel inspired to do some fun DIY Easter decorating, and you can leave me a comment if you have any questions!
Hugs, Jennifer

Hi there. Can I ask where you purchased the flocked bunnies placed on each step? Thank you.
Hi Rhonda! I purchased them wholesale from a company called Glitterville. They are completely sold out now, but if you know of any home decor boutiques around you, they may have some! Also, I heard Bath and Bodyworks had some!
Your entryway is just magical Jennifer, Love all the flocked bunnies leading up to your gorgeous staircase!! just stunning. I was lucky enough to purchase one from sweet Amy from Ba Bam wreath..
TFS~
