If your family is anything like mine, the kitchen is where you gather! Food brings people together!! Who doesn’t enjoy a home-cooked meal and then sitting around the table and visiting?!! I also love to bake, so this is an area where not only our family and friends spend time; I spend A LOT of time!!
I definitely want to make this space INVITING!!
As a child I remember sitting around the dinner table and my dad saying to all 7 of us children “absolutely everything we are eating tonight is from our garden!” I didn’t think much of his comment at the time; but who could ever say that today? WOW!! I certainly couldn’t ! I just have to make it LOOK like everything comes from our garden! 🙂
In staying with my carrot theme I found these fabulous carrot themed items:
I absolutely love pierced white plates! By adding a coordinating carrot ribbon to this one at least we can make it look like we are eating carrots not cookies! Hmmmmm… I just had a thought; I need to get my mom’s carrot cookie recipe!!!
As you know, I love to collect plates!! I have enjoyed displaying my favorites in this hutch!! There are so many to choose from… bunnies, cabbages, and even carrots!
As a child we tried to keep the bunnies OUT of our garden! My dad would get so frustrated when they would eat our produce ( I have a soft spot in my heart for Mr. McGregor! Giggle:) But in my “garden area” I welcome them!
With my two younger children, we have so many little ones come to my house! I always love to have a little area where they can grab a treat! I filled the basket so I’m always ready!! Give the rabbits some moss to rest on and they will be content all spring!
Bunny banners and an Easter Basket full of eggs tie our Easter theme together. Sprinkle in some carrots for continuity and we are ready for……
