I watched the Wizard of Oz with my kids the other night, and after my very long day I definitely related to the scarecrow when he started singing “if I only had a brain”…giggle : )
I adopted the daddy scarecrow a couple years ago and when the adorable mommy and baby were released, I couldn’t resist!!
You probably can’t tell from the picture (hopefully you can’t haha) that I strung fishing line from the chandelier and attached it to his brains….I mean head…. so he sits upright while hanging out on the hay bale! The rest of the family was easy, mommy and baby simply perch against daddy.
To complete the effect, I pulled hay from the hay bale and spread it all over the coffee table, threw in some leaves, pumpkins, mums, and giant sunflowers!
Don’t be afraid to make a bold statement in your family room (this family is life-sized!). Because I have high, vaulted ceilings I need the hight…but whatever your space offers, fill it up! You can make the same type of statement with a unique theme, bright colors, or interesting shapes!
Use your brain!
