Back to School Already?!

July 10, 2020 Fashion, Home Decor

We’re still waiting to hear what the Fall school plans are for my children, but whether or not Sam and McKenna Kate will be going back to school full-time, part-time or working from home, I want to ensure they still get the chance to get excited about all of the fun things that come with going back to school!

I asked Mickey what her favorite parts of going back to school are, and she said friends, decorating her locker, new pens, and of course… new clothes! Mickey is my little planner, so she was really excited when I asked if she wanted to start looking into fun new clothes and supplies for school! She browsed through Walmart’s back to school section for a bit, and found some cute things she’s really excited about!

What about Sam?? Well… he’s your typical 13 year old boy who’s happy to wear anything that looks athletic and doesn’t particularly enjoy clothes shopping (isn’t it funny how different boys and girls are?!). Don’t even ask about his reaction when I asked if he wanted to be a model for this post…. giggle ; ) Instead, you can find the stock photos of a few pieces I know he’d like below! Haha!

Back to School for Sam

Mickey absolutely LOVES this dress! Out of all of the clothes she picked out, this is definitely her favorite! She loves tie dye so much and thinks the high neck is so cute!

She also thinks these shoes are super fun! They’re similar to Golden Goose shoes with the star detail, and are only $16! They match this cute silver backpack perfectly too!

MK’s favorite parts of Outfit #2 are the shoes (she’s SO obsessed with them) and the backpack! She actually has this cute tie top in 3 separate colors as well! You won’t see her in jeans a whole lot…BUT she said for jeans, these are really comfy and stretchy! They’re actually jeggings, which is why I think she likes them ; ) And for under $10, they’re definitely worth having!

I think this little romper is SO CUTE! It looks like a dress at first, but if you look at the photos of Mickey you can spot the shorts under them!

The romper runs a little large, so we recommend sizing down!

The last outfit comes as a set! McKenna Kate say’s it’s a “great recess outfit” and is “super comfy”. It’s a great deal too at only $15!

I’ve linked everything shared today below, as well as a couple of the decor items in her study nook, like this cute pillow and an almost identical furry chair (only $100!)

Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post. Mickey hand-selected all items featured today herself!
