To me, Summer means family fun! Typically, during the Summer, we go on trips together as a whole family. It’s so much fun to travel somewhere new and experience new activities, cultures, food, and have quality time together. Experiences like this foster strong family memories and bonds, and they’re very special times for our family.
While this Summer may look a little different, you can still create special memories with your family! Plan experiences that revolve around being outdoors in your communities! We’re blessed to have a wonderful pool at our home, and a lake nearby. Because Texas Summers are so hot, we plan to spend as much time on the water as we can!
Our family time will revolve largely around water, so Mickey and I decided to grab some fun new swimsuits and Summer outfits at Walmart!

McKenna Kate Loves her swim cover-up and the rainbow trim it has! It comes in 4 different colors and is under $10! She’s wearing the size Large (10-12)
The swimsuit I’m wearing is so adorable! The off-the-shoulder detail is so cute and I’m in love with the little pom poms hanging off the sleeves! I was seriously impressed with the quality of this suit too. You would never guess that it’s only $14!!! (I’m wearing size small). It also comes in black!
I also grabbed a few cover-ups that I’m excited about! These are so cute and the first two can double as every-day dresses as well! Doesn’t the first one make you want to take a trip to Hawaii? Giggle : )
I love them because they’re all so easy to throw on over your swimsuit, and you look SO cute!
This next swimsuit is a cute one-shoulder option! It has a fun lace-up side detail and comes in a solid black option as well. It’s on sale for only $14! I’m wearing the size small.
Another option for a cover-up is to simply throw on a cute pair of shorts on top of your one piece! I’m wearing this pair from Sofia Vergara (you know I love her line at Walmart!). It’s $20 and I’m wearing a size 0 for size reference!
Mickey picked out a few more swimsuits and had so much fun modeling them! : ) She says anything rainbow, rainbow and/or sparkly is “all the rage” right now, so she loves these options!
Birkenstocks are also a “big thing” right now, and we found these adorable dupes! If you don’t want to pay full-price for the name brand then this is a perfect option! Mickey loves that they’re such a fun color and there are 6 colors available!
Also, how adorable is that pink top she’s wearing in the last few photos? I wish they had an adult version I could grab for myself! Giggle : )
